The museum takes its inspiration from the mythical culture and rich agricultural traditions of the Forest Finns. Set along the river Rotna, the new building forms a natural extension of the cultural landscape. An activity trail weaves the site together, linking the new museum with the existing one and creating a continuous experience for visitors.
