Montagerækkerne

Montagerækkerne is a proposal for the project Ressource Blokken, exploring how materials from 1960s–70s housing can be upcycled in future construction. Using elements from the demolition of Block 45 in Birkeparken, Vollsmose, the new housing is based on the principles of montage building. Concrete components are directly reused to form the structural core, while new prefabricated timber facades and roof cassettes create the climate envelope. A transitional edge zone with reused glass and concrete panels defines entrances and small outdoor spaces, inviting life into the street and encouraging social interaction among residents.
