A House for Lichen is conceived as a dwelling designed in service of lichen. The architectural principles are guided first and foremost by the conditions required for lichen to thrive, creating a space that humans may then share. If architecture—and by extension the urban environment—can sustain lichens, it signals a healthy ecosystem for both human and non-human life.
